And so, I've finished tagging.

Officially a Paeds HO. Unprepared, lack of knowledge, unmotivated..and most of the time, 'hentam saja la labu..' attitude.

Not in the mood to impress my Sp. The reason being he's a sweaty fat mean narcissictic.. You know that type, the one that makes you retched and puked all your food the moment he open his mouth... yessss....

I dont even know why he's a paediatrician. First of all, he wont even touch the baby. And yet he bising2 when one of the HO doesnt even know how to wipe baby's bottom.. Do we look like the staff nurse, HELLO??

In UCHG, Prof Loftus even does the baby check, and plays with the babies while doing so. Yes, he's a lecturer as well... but a paediatrician is a paediatrician. Not a veterinarian. I dont care if you dont want to play with an iguana, but you dont treat a baby like a stinking kitten.

Then he bragged TOO MUCH. He doesnt even know how to manage the patient, and just leave it to the MOs to decide (and then criticizes their management). He doesnt teach and inspire the new doctors, instead made them abscond balik kampung. Budak A sampai sekarang tak balik keje, rasa2nya dah balik Semenanjung for good.

The bad thing about finishing tagging is, I'm gonna start on call as well. Which will be EOD, then EEOD, then break for 3 days, then EOD, then EEOD again. NICE... And a presentation on the 15th. And I'll be going up to Onco... which is the scariest place on EARTH.

Razi's oncall schedule is much better. His calls spread out nicely with 4,5 days in between. Yeah..yeah..just because he's an XY.

This is another slum of depression. The cure is, 2 pairs of shoes, same brand and pattern, but different colour, worth RM99 each pair. Somehow, I'm going to regret this... but maybe I'll regret later when the credit card bill arrives...

Oh ya, I've done NRP. Haha.. I dont 100% know how to manage AGE, and they expect me to resuscitate a baby?? Tough luck mothers out there. Make sure you're not in labour while I'm oncall. Its not because I dont know how to resuscitate, but I'm ectasized to intubate every baby I see, even if they're OK.

Oh, Bro L has been asking me what do I think of O&G MO, and whether any of them are nasty. Sure there is. Akak awan gelap. But I'll be stupid if I said yes right? His wife is the awan gelap...

I've seen the mothers in O&G, now I'm looking after their babies in SCBU. Few died, and most of them survived. I hope these babies will grow up well. Sigh..

Finally, to finish up, remember the wife of the ex-BF I told the other day? She delivered a week ago, and her baby was admitted to P2A for jaundice. And yes, after 9 years since high school, I've met my ex-BF again. He still looks the same i.e good looking, but unfortunately my spell unto him of premature baldness WORKS!

Currently D5 of life. In nursery.

First impression, its boring. Even Gynae ward is more interesting.
Babies in nursery arent cute. Because they are damn skinny and fragile due to prematurity. Yellowish, not cherry pink, due to jaundice. Pale due to sepsis. Bloated due to ventilation and IVD.
Taking blood is hell. Not because its hard, but because they cried and its annoying to your eardrums. And because they are 'sensitized' to blood-taking, so if you dont bundle-wrapped them, they'llkicked your hand in the middle of the procedure.
Most MOs ignored newbies i.e me.
Because I'm ex-O&G HO, they're somehow despise me. Keep saying "this is not O&G, you're a doctor, not an informer or a clerk...bla..bla...bla..." BUHSAN.
Paeds are medicine for kids. I hate medicine.
Too many calculations. From fluid replacement to ventilation rate.
A 400 pages of protocol to read.
Expect you to manage but didnt teach you. Again, expect me to read a 400 pages of protocol (YAWN).

Around 2pm, I had a sudden surge of depression.

You should know how depression felt like. You felt empty, alone, unsatisfied, sad and all the blacks and greys in the world. DEPRESSION.

I called Izah, wanting to hang out and just listen to her ramblings, but apparently she's still LNG-ing in Bintulu. Tough.
Others are still working. Great, today is Monday, duhh...
Ann is away in KL, Nina in NZ and Amar in Aussie. Useless..hehehe...
My brother already went back to his site in Sadong Jaya, and sis had to bring her 2 kids home for a while, because Pak Lah suruh balik. Nice....

And my attempts to shop online were unsuccessful due to my super secure CIMB credit cards. Ceh..

I tried taking an afternoon nap, tapi mata tak mau lelap cause my heart palpitates with worriness. I tried watching Jdorama, but somehow aku ter-reminisced my Japanese trip and how FREE and HAPPY I was at that time, I became more depressed. So, I end up jalan2 seorang diri and shop till my shoulders hurt from carrying stuff I bought, which are mostly crap. Toiletries, writing utensils, cards, socks....

I became more depressed since I cant find the stuff I want, for example a nice pair of shoe that is comfy for my hallux valgus, and formal blouses for work with, of course, 70% discount...sigh..

Esok keje lagi. Start tagging, start working at a new dept all over again, start knowing people and making friends, start knowing my seniors and sapa kawan, sapa lawan... ARGHHH!!!

Just fine.

My last O&G oncall was fine. Just fine. It wasnt hectic, and the labour ward was quite quiet. The last LSCS was around 9pm, and the next one was around 7.30am next day. No MRP's, ragged membrane, postnatal reviews, twins, prem labour..bla..bla..in the middle of the night. Everything was just smooth sailin'.

BUT...

Me and Kak Pah had the 'pleasure' of doing our final call with the new Reg. Somehow, she eminates weird vibe. Cant seem to get her, whether she's nice or strict or scary or approachable? Hmm..
Anyway, we got quite a teaching from her. Worse still cause both of us are finishing the next day and she made me feel I am an incompetent fool despite the 4 hellish month I've went through. NICE...

Plus, a scold from her for doing fundal aid, kinda spoiled the day...

On the other note, I've passed up that piece of paper that've been bothering me for the last couple of week. Dr E stamped and signed me pass.. Fuhhh...

Also, surprise..surprise! I clerked a patient yesterday, who turned out to be the wife of my ex-boyfriend, J. Haha.. gile terkezut when I first saw the copy of their marriage cert. At first glance, when I saw the name J, I instantly thought of his full name, and that is when aku terkezut to find out that he's THAT person...GOSH! SMALL WORLD! And the wife was from the same school with us, my junior of course..

(Frankly speaking...I'm better looking than his wife...AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!)

But then, she's pregnant and expecting and aku masih POOR PROGRESS...

I'm on leave for the next 3 days. Hoping to get enough rest, plump myself up with those donuts and cakes (hehe..kempunan), and maybe update my life a bit. Anyway, past life denotes:

The other day oncall (and postcall) was very productive.. 1 MRP, 1 S&C and 1 LSCS done!
Dr S agak kool la masa LSCS aku tu. Tapi yang lagi best is sebab dia slalu cakap "good, good" dan banyak mengajar masa buat LSCS tu. Takde la dia mengeluh, or mengutuk masa LSCS.. hehe..
My baby's head stuck for quite sometime after the body is delivered.. Aku sudah naik panik masa itu.. He was blue! Luckily Apgar was OK, 7/9. Tapi kene open card for cyanosis..ngeh ngeh ngeh...

I just wish the mother decides to conceive in the next 3,4 years' time.. Takut uterine rupture..ngeh ngeh ngeh..

In the other update, Kak Pah'd managed to do 2 LSCS, and Rathik already gave up (naik bendera putih..)

I've 2 clinics to go (one each), need to merayu for HSG's signature.. and another MRP and LSCS. Minggu ni bley siap? IAllah.. (Malang btul ElLSCS this week is done by MissPanic)
Ketas Procedure aku tu dah nak hampir koyak rabak dah... Kalau Dr E nampak, mesti dia cakap, "toilet paper pun lagi elok.." Ehehe..

Another ke-malang-an ialah, my final call with the new Reg yang ganti Bro J. Dengar cite, she's quite strict (and damn scary) especially during oncall... Alahai..

SunBurst KL plak on the 21/3. Ala... cubalah awal sket, so that aku bley join. This year line-up, ada Estranged (AZWIN!!), BunkFace, Hujan, Pesawat...N.E.R.D and KORN (tak minat :p). Last year ada INCUBUS!! Napa tahun ni takde :(

Anyway, jum lembikkan badan and rileks...esok2 kene wat fundal aid lagi for those elderly primip/huge pregnies yang lembik/those with big baby/simply primip....

Actually, I still have 5 days leave.

I'm taking some of the leave for clinics (pathetic...) and maybe few days off before my next posting to read on Paeds Protocol (pathetic.......) and maybe a day to settle my bank stuff, usya kereta (?), go see the GP for my usual meds, and taking a family photo (mum has been pestering me about it...)

Hopefully, during my Paeds days, I wont have to do all these clinics and procedures...

And I will plan my hols better.

Need to get few days off in July for Rainforest Fest..
And Rafli were saying about coming to Swak again after May..

Oh ya...actually I'm on leave today..But I didnt apply for it..lalala..whatever...

Ye la..nanti aku pi hospital la..Promise Kak Pah to go to Diabetic clinic..tengok mood dulu.. then, yesterday, mintak tolong Y to cover me for OT today.. Kalau rajin, I'll take over from her.

Yesterday, I got a good news. I passed my exam. So, no need for viva. Alhamdulillah.

Yesterday, an ectopic case in A&E. Patient's a Malay, highligted hair, speaks English, wore tight Irish green baby tee, and denim hotpants. Her boyfriend, curiously non-Malay, highlighted hair, suspected medical student, again conversed only in English. Her mum, fully covered wearing baju kurung and tudung labuh. The moment I told her about the diagnosis, prognosis and complications of ectopic, the mum suddenly, "Nauzubillah, itu lah engkau..."
That tells me a lot...

Yesterday, instead of 4 boxes of pizzas, we got 8!

Yesterday, I didnt managed to get to do any procedures..again :(

Yesterday, I didnt get any sleep. As usual.

Yesterday, I got to oncall with great colleagues!

Yesterday, an old mate from highschool came.. she was in false labour. And she said she look forward for my assistance during her delivery!

Yesterday, there were a lot of elderly primigravida.

Today, sucks.

Today, few HO MIA from labour ward. Casenotes piled up! Arghh..
Today, I had headache from the lack of sleep for the last few days.
Today, few SN pissed me off.
