hello limbang

First arrived in Limbang on 28th Nov, my thought was, oh God please make this easy for me.

The airport is soooo cutee... Its kinda in and out airport, small and nice.

Luckily I had a friend (thanx Balqis!) in Limbang who helped me around. She brought me to the house, an old house, yang berbau hapak..

On Sunday, the whole family had to forget the niat nak pergi Brunei, coz mum and dad helped me to clean the house. Gosh, love you both!

So, akhirnya rasa sedih sebab on Monday, mum and dad went back to Kuching. Kire nasib baik, my brother is around to help, although I think he cant do much. I'm suppose to move into a flat (its so huge!), but unfortunately there's no water and electric supply. I just hope that lady in JKN will do the letter ASAP, so I can get my brother to do something.Or else, he'll just hog the PSP all the time.

At time of writing, my car and shipment havent arrive yet. I just went to the office, and the duty roster given by my boss said, by tomorrow I'll be looking after A&E and Isolation ward. Cool. Coz my medical/surgical knowledge sucks. And I think I can manage Paeds and O&G a bit.

I'll be tagging for one week, 8am till 10pm. And then I'll start oncall. Takut sehh..

No car, cant do much. I can walk to the ward, reallllllyyyyyyy near. But I need the stuff brought from Kuching, especially my IRON!!! Need to scrub the bathroom tonight. Because I had to wash my clothes by hand. Cant use the washing machine just yet, because the hose cant fit the kepala paip..sheessssshh kebab betol la!

And people in Limbang has this Sabahan slanga..aisehhh......

Nanti2 la cerita lagi. I had a bit of depression now, coz lots of thing cant be settle right now, because all these things are out of my power...haiya...

killing time

First, they told me that I had to stay in a house further than the other MOs, because the flat isnt available. Because the MO who was supposed to transfer back to T'ganu is still staying there until end of December.
Then, they told me that the house they gave me, has no water and electric supply, and I had to re-connect them myself, and pay a sum of deposit.
At first I was pissed off, but my brother willingly stay back in Limbang with me for a week, to help me settle the water and electric supply, and also help me to get the Astro and Broadband. And of course, help me to clean the house and get the groceries while I'm working.
Then, they told me the previous tenant lose the house keys, and that I had to lodge at a transit kuarters until they can get the lock done.
I'm pissed off again because this mean I have to look for a locksmith and change the whole lock in the house.

And they said, why dont I stay at the transit quarters for at least until end of December, until the MO move out. WHY DIDNT THEY SAY THIS EARLIER??!!
I'm double pissed off because that means, I cant settle my broadband, my Astro while my brother is around. That means no internet and no good TV shows for 1 month.
Again, I'm so pissed off. Because I've bought separate ticket for my brother, which is much more expensive, so that he can stay behind with me. That means, after 1 month, I have to move again.

piss off..piss off...shit..fuck...bitch...sial.....piss off...piss off....shit...shit...shit...

So, should I stay for 1 month at the transit quarter, and survive on no internet, and no Astro and have to move again after 1 month? The advantage would be, I dont have to pay the bills for 1 month, and I dont have to re-connect water and electric supply after the MO transferred. And hopefully he has broadband or Astro in-situ, so I dont have to apply for them.

Or should I just get a locksmith, and use my own money to change the whole lock. And make full use of my brother, while he's around?

How come moving houses in Ireland isnt that hard???

Arghhh... I want to:
1. Kill someone
2. Blame someone for my hardship (and you know partly its you, say)
3. Pray hard so that's the only hurdle waiting for me in Limbang
4. Pray double hard the job and the people and the hospital staff are nice to work with
5. Comfort eating
6. Go watch NewMoon now!!

buy and pack

I've been packing stuff the whole day.

Buy and pack. Buy and pack.

I realised that whatever motivation of moving to a new place, that I had when I moved to Ireland, is no longer there. Maybe because I'm unwilling to move. Maybe I'm just getting old (and I am old) and too tired with this whole moving process thing.

Not knowing the place, the people, is really getting on your nerves.

Where is your home? Is it near to the workplace? Hows the neighbours? Are the shops near? How do I pay my utilities? Where can I get the broadband or TV service? Does the home comes with this and that? Do I practically have to move my whole house with me???

How often can I get home? Hows the transportation?

And finally, how long do I have tostay there...? sigh..

piss off moment

Finishing HO-ship feels totally different..

1st, I dunno whether I should feel happy or not. The fact that I'm no longer at the bottom of the medical hierarchy, makes me glad. But then again, I'm scared of making decision. And at the same time I bet if I'm staying in SGH most of the HO I'd known here may not respect me as much as they respect other more senior MO.
Like last night when I decided to give IM Diclofenac Acid as painkiller for an old lady with close fracture of the neck of femur, the Ortho HO simply questioned my choice of analgesia. Clinically the patient was quite comfortable, and she wasnt moaning in pain, like those patient with ureteric stone.

" Hah, old lady? You give voltaren only? Give la tramadol..."

I felt like answering back, if only the Ortho MO wasnt there...

I felt like cramming the pain ladder schedule onto her brain. And the fact that Diclofenac Acid is the magic bullet for muskuloskeletal pain, she as an ortho HO should knew better.

P/S: Diclofenac acid is good for muskuloskeletal pain, Tramadol is better for visceral pain. If you're doing your A&E posting, you should know this, because the 2 main group of people who comes to A&E for pain relief are those with physical injury and those with oncology disorder/under RTU follow up. Know your painkiller wise, otherwise the A&E MO/specialist will question your analgesia of choice. Because our's is free health service, and the hospital budget for each patient is RM7 only. And of course, if you give Tramadol for a newbie, and she/he developed tolerance over it, the next few visit, you might have to settle on Pethidine or Morphine...

Because I'm so pissed off at that remark, I told my MO, CCP, about it. Anyway, he told me that happens when you're in A&E. People thinks you know nothing, but in fact, you know everything, because you've managed simple flu to a complicated diagnosis.

And then, he asked me, how come I know so much, but I didnt retaliate back at the HO.

I simply said, first I respect the Ortho MO, and second, that HO is a Russian graduate. So, I dont even bother to...

No bias here. But we all know how sucks Russian grads are sometimes...

There, you've made me.
