Raya Malaysia

Esok Hari Raya.
I miss celebrating Raya wif Galwegians.
I miss staying up late helping the kids masak2. Well, mostly I only kupas bawang and potong sayur je la. AHAHA.
I miss waking up in the morning, kecoh2 seterika baju raya, berebut toilet and then waiting for the slowest people to get ready..before boleh jalan ramai2 to Shantalla/Westside for solat raya. Sapa tu? EHEHE.
I miss the after-solat picture session, where those from the same class, or same house, or even same kaler baju take pictures together.
I miss missing class just to go visiting.
I miss having nasi himpit and rendang and lots of other delicious dishes. Termasuk biskut dan kerepek diimport khas dari Malaysia
I miss bergambar ramai2 and then konvoi ramai2 to the next (victim) house.
I miss the Raya gathering.
I miss celebrating Raya with my friends.
I miss you all.

Project Raya

Because of my irresponsible act of dissappearance couple of weeks ago, I had to do my share of Project Raya the moment my plane touched down.

• Needs great patience to make 400 of the above. On your own.
• Do not skimp on the portion of the pineapple and the thickness of the base. It'll taste like crackers. As per Dudin.

Kek Lapis Citrawarna

• Contained 25 egg yolks and 400mg of butter. Very very very high in calories. Not suitable for those with heart problem, vascular disease, diabetes and those on diet regime.
• On the other hand, good news for facial freak. The leftover egg white can be utilise for facial mask. Unlimited supply. To wash face after use. Unless insect bite is one of your facial juju.
• Needs high resilience towards heat in order to sit if front of the oven for 2 hours.
  
• Looks great though this is my first try (pat on the back). Note to oneself, next time, better measurement for each layer and alternate brown with yellow or green instead of red.
• No reading or watching Jdrama while attending to this cake. One minute too late, you'll burn the layer. (see the brown layer, most bottom layer)
  
• Bakeries and some makcik sell this for RM80. Thats crap. My budget for this cake is only RM20. Now, that's a steal.

My next Project Raya, this weekend, will be Kek Sisik Ikan, Kek Evergreen and Marble Cheese Cake.
Next week, it'll be whole house paint-over. We havent decide on the colour yet. Dad probably decide on that 2 days before raya.

After few escapades, it feels great to be home.
I miss the comfort of my bunk, the great wireless coverage, my shoujo manga, mum and dad, Dudin, and The Monyets.

I thought I was tough enough to venture the world on my own, making my first home-away debut..
but, the lack of money and the family-sickness brought me back to my door step.

Anyway, the heat is too bad in Aussie. And Amar is a terrible host. Pergh!

I've completed a short story. The grammar's sucks. The idea's shit. I'm just too lazy to do research on it. Plus, being a doctor, the best description I can do is mainly anatomical. Ehe.. (sounds pervy).
Anyway, you have to use 100% imagination capacity to enjoy it.

Of course, it's not here.
It's somewhere else.

Beware of guys who brag too much about themselves... they are either selfish, egomanic or low self esteem.

Beware of guys who talk too much about their mum... apparently they're not fully detached from their mum and you'll get hard time sucking up to your mother in law.

Beware of guys who insist on being loyal... they are the one who see other girls behind your back and claimed those girls are just friends.

Beware of guys who talk too much about his career and failed to listen to yours... they dont take you seriously, even if you're the bank manager and he's just a salesman.

Beware of guys who insist on you being Miss Perfect (e.g skinny and zits-free)... they only see you as a PRIZE, not as a human and they're the one who will ditch you when you turn 40.

Beware of guys who kept delaying a serious commitment in relationship (i.e engagement/marriage/having kids)... they cant let go of their freedom while they're fit, and you're just their "security blanket" in case they got ill/bancrupt/impotence.

Girls, are you dating one of them right now? BREAK-UP!!!

Kelisa masuk parit

One early-morning-shock-call today.

My sis had an early morning accident on her way to work. She was avoiding a dog that came out of nowhere, swerved her car to the left and end up in a ditch. She was lucky, cause she wore the SEATBELT, and fortunately her 2 kids werent with her this morning. Both Fan-fan and Mamat were at her in-laws house. Aside from smashed left passenger seat windows and banged up doors, everything else is still fine. As my sis said, "Hey, the radio is still playing". Of course, mum wasnt so happy.

And we all agreed, "Patutnya ko langgar je anjing tu!" (De javu, my family had this discussion once regarding kill or to be killed)
Funny thing was, after the accident, the guilty dog came back to the scene. Sis took its picture. HAH!

Sis was fined RM300 for reckless driving. She was trying to bargain with the police officer.. first saying that TODAY is her birthday (I bet her 27th birthday will be her most memorable day), second, she didnt kill anyone/anything, in fact she had SAVED the dog's life.

"Mun gia, kitak mintakla duit darik asuk ya!"

The police officer just laughed.

It will take months for the car to be use-able again. Claiming insurance money will take ages. And before that's going to happen, no repairing can be done. Well, unless you (as in MUM and DAD) want to sponsor the repair... unlikely though.

We all agreed on one thing, sis is a reckless driver. Haha. This is her 4th accident, if I'm not mistaken. Once with the old Daihatsu. Once with Azam's Kancil. Twice (including today) with her Kelisa. But she survived all them. She is one FORTUNATE reckless driver. AHAHA!!

Happy 27th B-day sis. May you live long enough to tell the tale to your grand-grandchildrens.
